INTERIOR DESIGN GDAŃSK – OLIVA KONCEPT HOUSING ESTATE

Area: 80m2

The apartment was designed for a couple of travelers who value contact with nature. The location of this housing estate, in the vicinity of the Oliwa Forest, fully met the investors' expectations. Full of passion, fond of forest bike trips and horse riding, they were a great inspiration for me to design this unique and cozy interior. I decided to design this apartment inspired by its surroundings. The interior is dominated by wood, with lots of greenery and graphite accents. As you can see in the photos, there is space for travel souvenirs – a display cabinet by the table and shelves for horse riding hats. On the TV wall, there is a graphite panel with a pattern reminiscent of a stone slab, illuminated at night with LED strips. I decided to use the same material in the kitchen on the countertop and backsplash, thus maintaining the uniform and consistent character of this interior. The living space is further warmed up by the different textures of the materials used on the sofa, chairs, and curtains, which makes the interior even more cozy.

Jak zaprojektować układ funkcjonalny wnętrza?

I designed the bedroom and study in subdued, harmonious colors, combining shades of beige with natural oak tones. In the study, above the sofa, there is an impressive wooden map showing the places visited by the owners. A round illuminated mirror adorns the guest bathroom. It also features graphite tiles with a rock-like texture, which refers to rocks in nature. The main bathroom, on the other hand, was designed to accommodate more functions needed in every apartment. The cabinet under the sink houses a built-in washer-dryer and a laundry basket cabinet next to it. There is additional storage space in the cabinet above the toilet bowl. By hiding all the necessary functions in the cabinets, we have created a more spacious room, which is further enlarged by a wide mirror. An interesting idea from the owners is the green wall made of live moss, which really enlivens the room and looks beautiful. I would like to thank the owners of this apartment for their wonderful cooperation and many inspiring conversations during each meeting. It was a great pleasure to meet you, and it was a pure pleasure to be able to create this interior with you. Thank you again. Photos: Krzysztof Rudek
